Logistics Networks
With PSIglobal, PSI Logistics has created software that enables the continous evaluation and control of value-adding logistics processes that allow users to purposefully and efficiently model the processing of logistics projects both for strategic (e.g. location and structure optimisation) and for tactical (e.g. transportation network planning and warehouse capacity utilisation) matters. PSIglobal focuses on the planning, analysis, and optimisation of logistics networks. This enables the planning of distribution, procurement, replacement parts, and production networks. The planning and control software allows the modelling of multistage transports in order to control and improve the entire supply chain. By incorporating different transport channels, such as road, rail and water, multimode transports can be modelled and included in the optimisation process.
Your benefits:
Analysis and Controlling
- Standardised analysis functions rapidly expose weak points and savings potential. Various key figures can be defined and their outcomes displayed geographically. This allows company-specific service level agreements to be defined and compliance to be monitored.
Cost Evaluation for Logistics Networks
- A wealth of experience in the evaluation of logistics networks has paved the way for the development of a range of different cost functions. These make it possible to evaluate and optimise logistics networks using their specific transportation, storage and handling costs.
Strategic Planning with Comprehensive Real Data
- The logistics data required for optimisation is drawn from upstream ERP, WMS and/or TMS systems. As a general rule, the quantity flows of an entire business year are analysed in addition to forecasts. The link to digital transport networks (road, rail, waterways and flight routes) means that all calculations are bases on actual distances, journey times and costs.
Structural Optimisation Based On Business Processes
- Individual cost drivers can be modelled and used to evaluate and optimise the logistics network. This ensures that implementable logistics networks are calculated.
