Automotive Portfolio
PSI Logistics' portfolio already focuses on network planning and optimising inbound traffic - in other words, traffic when delivering via tier 1 or tier 2 suppliers. Based on the Geo database, PSIglobal exploits the optimisation potential for the intermodal traffic, including container, freight vehicle, rail, ship and air transport. The aim is to have location-specific realignment or to use other trans-shipment posts or means of transportation. At the same time, the system analyses and optimises the transportation and logistics costs, which can flow into the transportation management system PSItms.
The operative transportation management system PSItms is used to schedule and plan all transportation from your own or external vehicle fleets. In this case, different approaches to transportation, such as plant, shuttle and direct traffic as well as milk runs, play an important role. For all forms of transportation, the traceability of demand and the sales order is decisive.
PSIwms is responsible for storing raw materials, semi-finished products, finished products and replacement parts. From the goods receipt with the incoming quality check to the inclusion of modern conveyors and the complete provision to production using the sequencing tool QUALICISION® for JIT/JIS procedures, the processes are individually adjusted. Advantage: Customers themselves can adjust the workflow and the processes for all PSI products. This provides a secure investment reaching far into the future.
Enhancement modules, such as mobile order processing inside and outside of the plant, the logistics control system PSIlcontrol and a processing tool for the SKD/CKD production, are also available.
Together with the ERP system PSIpenta for order processing and production planning as well as the shop-floor management system PSImes, the PSI Logistics automotive solution also represents an ideal solution for the automotive OEM and the supplier.
