PSI Awarded Logistics Contract by STUTE Verkehrs GmbH

PSIwms warehouse management system for Trilux distribution center

Berlin, 8 April 2008 – The PSI subsidiary PSI Logistics GmbH has been awarded a contract by the Bremen logistics provider STUTE Verkehrs-GmbH to deliver the warehouse management system PSIwms for the European distribution center of the Trilux GmbH&Co. KG in Arnsberg in Sauerland, Germany.

The 15,500 square-meter European distribution center is currently under construction two kilometers away from the Trilux production site. Trilux, a leading developer and producer of lighting systems and components, just entrusted STUTE Verkehrs-GmbH with the construction and operation in the autumn of 2007.

As a result of the long-term partnership which has realized many successful projects in the automobile and aircraft industries and spare parts logistics, PSI Logistics was charged with the delivery of their warehouse management system PSIwms, including the forklift control system and interfaces to SAP. As of autumn 2008 the 10,000 article strong Trilux product range will be administered by PSIwms. About 15,000 palettes will be recorded by goods receipt annually and about 475,000 items prepared for packaging and shipping in the goods issuing department. The flexible order management and the voucherless picking in PSIwms guarantee the process is completed on time. The servers are operated centrally as a highly available system in the STUTE computer center in Bremen.
