PSI Presents Innovative Logistics Management Systems at the CeMAT

Berlin, 21 September 2005 – PSI Logistics GmbH, one of the leading independent software providers in the logistics market, will be presenting a number of innovative highlights from the field of Logistics Management Systems at the CeMAT in Hanover from 11 - 15 October 2005 in Hall 27, Stand E42. Along with the current features and new functions of the further developed Warehouse Management System PSIwms, the inclusion of modern agent and control station technologies and the materials flow monitoring with LCD-array screens will be presented. A technological highlight will be the presentation of the Event System with which PSIwms will make it possible in the future to assure an almost completely independent integrated process quality in logistics.

The modularly conceived Warehouse Management System PSIwms, with its integrated aspect-oriented system architecture and maximum integration-capability, is one of the most modern cross-sector platform systems for optimizing, controlling, coordinating and processing of goods and information flows. The range of specifications stretches from just-in-time supply of production lines, for instance, according to the Kanban principle, to the distribution of manufactured goods. For that reason the WMS will be, amongst other things, seen as an instrument for the support of line feeding in the automotive sector.

The PSI control system technology PSImcontrol can be connected for the visualization and transparency of processes. As an option smaller LCD-array screens with logistics control station are available for the optimal monitoring and event control. As additional PSIwms services new evaluation tools such as the resource prognosis, a modern yard management, an integrated plant calendar and the innovative Move-By-Voice will be presented.

Beyond the evaluation tools, PSIwms has also been extended by an event system, which will be presented for the first time at the CeMAT. The innovative PSI agent-technology will serve as the basis technology for this future-oriented subsystem, which initiates the decisive steps for the most part independently.

PSI AG develops and integrates individual solutions, on the basis of its own software, for the management of large networks (electricity, gas, oil, telecommunications, transport), cross-company production management (steel, chemicals, machinery, automotive, logistics) and information management for government and service providers. PSI was founded in 1969 and currently employs 1,050 persons in the group.
