Social Engagement

We as PSI Logistics do not only feel an obligation to our employees, customers and partners, we are also committed to helping sick and disadvantaged people. We do that for example by providing financial support to social institutions every year:

Initiatives & Memberships

Since 1990, the BdKEP has represented the trade policy interests of medium-sized entrepreneurs and companies in the courier, express, parcel and mail services sector and is the point of contact for politicians, ministries, authorities, the press and those interested in the industry. With its network of experts, the association offers its members concrete assistance on topics related to CEP, business and logistics.

BVL - Federal Association of Logistics

The Federal Association of Logistics (BVL) is a non-profit association and sees itself as an open network of people who want to actively promote efficient cooperation in the globalized economy. More than 11,000 specialists and executives from manufacturing, trade, services and science are represented in the BVL worldwide. BVL's aim is to communicate the importance of supply chain management and logistics and to promote their application and development.

Club of Logistics

The Club of Logistics e.V. sees itself as a source of ideas and inspiration for the German and European logistics industry. Founded in 2003, it explores strategies with its members enabling the logistics industry to renew itself permanently, sustainably and flexibly in accordance with the respective challenges.

CNA e.V.

CNA e.V. was founded in 1996 with the aim of initiating and promoting a future-oriented technology and innovation dialog in the transport and logistics sector. Its aim is to facilitate the participation of relevant stakeholders from business, politics and science along the entire value chain. Mobility solutions are to be rethought and designed in an innovative and sustainable way for people. The CNA network comprises over 200 members and over 600 innovation partners. The focus is on the areas of transportation & logistics, mobility systems, automotive, rail, safety and drive technology.

As part of the Bavarian cluster offensive, the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs commissioned CNA e.V. to manage the cluster platform for railroad technology. The Bavarian Ministry of Transport also entrusted the network with the coordination of the Bavarian Logistics Initiative, the umbrella brand for the regional Bavarian logistics networks.

GOR - German Society for Operations Research

The German Society for Operations Research is the professional association for the scientific field of operations research in Germany. Its central task is to promote the dissemination and use of operations research in science and practice. This is primarily done through specialist publications, conferences, working groups and by promoting young scientists.

IFL - Initiative for Information Technology

As a representative of IT providers, PSI Logistics has been involved in the Intralogistics research foundation/conveyor technology and logistics systems (IFL) from its inception in 2005.

All member companies jointly launch pre-competitive research projects. The aim of the industrial research association is the continuous development of innovative products within intralogistics. Intralogistics covers the organisation, management, implementation and optimisation of the internal material flow, and goods handling including all related information flows.

Currently, we are involved in the “CO2neutral logistics centre” research project. IFL members develop recommended actions step-by-step for energy-efficient logistics centres. The focus is on a holistic approach to energy needs and energy cycles in intralogistics buildings of different types. The recommended actions should later help logistics centre planners to find the optimum balance between the conveyor technology used, energy-efficient construction and building technology, as well as CO2neutral energy supply.

Many people are unaware that logistics is the third largest economic sector in the Federal Republic of Germany and that its concepts and innovations – from network planning to process control in intralogistics – ensure that everything in trade and production is available at the right place at the right time with transparent shipment status. For this reason, PSI Logistics, as a founding member, supports the nationwide campaign “Logistics Heroes” in terms of content and financing, thus enabling authentic insights into the logistics industry.
