Berlin, 21 December 2004 – The PSI subsidiary PSI Logistics has been charged with providing the software tools for the efficient controlling, packaging and distribution of up to 40,000 customer orders in the high-performance distribution center which will be erected by the logistics service provider DHL Fulfilment for Home Shopping Europe AG in Greven. The Greven Logistics Center is the first project in a general contract for the delivery of software and services for warehouse management systems. As a result of the general contract PSI Logistics will act as a software partner of DHL Fulfilment.
With the DHL subsidiary DHL Fulfilment GmbH an additional leading logistics service provider has decided for the standard software PSIwms from PSI Logistics. At the Greven site the contract logistics provider is building a logistics center for Home Shopping Europe AG. The project is to be completed in early 2006 and successively begin full operations. DHL Fulfilment is responsible for project implementation and the future operation. The standard software PSIwms, which won out over five competitors, will be used for efficient controlling of processes for the fast packaging and shipping of up to 40,000 customer orders per day.
PSI AG develops and integrates individual solutions, on the basis of its own software, for the management of large networks (electricity, gas, oil, telecommunications, transport), cross-company production management (steel, chemicals, machinery, automotive, logistics) and information management for government and service providers.
