Berlin, 15 October 2002 – PSI registers more international successes in the field of logistics. Wyeth Ltd. from Great Britain has contracted PSI logistics to supply a Warehouse Management System (WMS). In the USA the warehousing system supplied by PSI logistics to the Blum company has been named "Warehouse of the Month". The WMS was delivered on time to the contractor, TNT Logistics.
Wyeth Ltd., Great Britain, contracted PSI logistics to supply a WMS for their production warehouse in Havant by Portsmouth. Wyeth is one of the most important pharmaceutical companies world-wide and has over 50,000 employees in 145 countries. In addition to quality and functionality of the standard system, the deciding factor in their decision was the reference visit to the OSRAM Swedish Distribution Center in Stockholm. The contract brought PSI logistics into a close collaboration with Jungheinrich GB Ltd. as general contractor.
In September, the warehouse system at Julius Blum Inc., North Carolina, USA was named "Warehouse of the Month" by the renowned US journal, "Modern Materials Handling". The WMS of PSI logistics has also been used since early October in the replacement part center of a leading forklift producer in Lahr by TNT Logistics. The system, designed for various TNT Logistics locations and customers, was delivered on time and controls a warehouse with 100,000 palettes and complex strategies for storage, order initiation and supply.
