Berlin, 20 November 2002 – PSI AG and Microsoft GmbH have arranged a cooperation in the "Public" segment. The focal points of this cooperation are the development and integration of eGovernment solutions on the basis of the Microsoft .NET platform. This platform is capable of integrating all the services and applications needed for improving the interaction of government offices with companies and citizens. PSI supports the customer in gaining optimal benefit from the power of the .NET platform.
PSI decided in favor of the strategic platform .NET because the concept depends on open standards and service-oriented, web-based applications produce a holistic approach in the development. In addition, Microsoft is a strong partner that guarantees a platform for the future. Microsoft decided in favor of PSI because the company is a leading technology systems company with extensive project experience in the public sector.
In the framework of the partnership PSI will plan joint marketing and sales activities as well as the establishment of a .NET competence center. The first joint activities were already called to life at the beginning of the year – the newly developed specialized application of the Hamburg Corporate Medical Services was awarded the Microsoft .NET Innovation Cup for the government sector on 19 November 2002.
