PSI Decides on Reorganization of PSIPENTA Subsidiary Market-oriented Structure and Change in Management

Berlin, 19 April 2004 – The Executive Board of the PSI AG has decided, effective immediately, on a reorganization of the subsidiary PSIPENTA Software Systems GmbH. PSIPENTA, which was previously organized functionally, will in the future work with three market-oriented divisions which will each bear the overall responsibility for one industrial segment. The new Sales Managing Director will be Alfred M. Keseberg, who has years of experience in the software industry and, as Managing Director of PSIPENTA’s fellow subsidiary GSI GmbH, led the company back into profits last year. Thomas Krüger remains the Engineering Managing Director.

By establishing the three divisions mechanical engineering, plant construction and automotive PSIPENTA will, as of immediately, adapt the structure and business model of the successful PSI units. The field development in the three divisions will be supplemented by a basic development with 25 employees. The new structure is open for additional vertical market partnerships internally as well as outside of the PSI Group. An appropriate acquisition opportunity is currently being investigated. The former managing director, Siegrid Schlegel, will be in charge of the mechanical engineering division. Along with organizational adjustments, PSIPENTA will also be reintegrated spatially in the group headquarters in Dircksenstraße in Berlin. There will be no change in the number of personnel. Release 7.0 of the software product PSIpenta.com, especially expanded in the multi-site and workflow functionalities, is currently being tested by three pilot customers and will be presented to the broad public in the framework of the PSI Production Management Days in June 2004.

PSI AG develops and integrates individual solutions, on the basis of its own software, for the management of large networks (electricity, gas, oil, telecommunications, transport), cross-company production management (steel, chemicals, machinery, automotive, logistics) and information management for government and service providers.
