EBIT increase to 6 million euros or 50 percent compared to previous year expected
Berlin, 16 September 2008 – The PSI AG will attain a higher EBIT than expected in financial year 2008. On the basis of the continued strong business, an EBIT of about 6 million euros, a sales increase to 130 million euros and new orders of more than 140 million euros are expected.
For seasonally related reasons, the EBIT in the third quarter will be slightly below that of the second. An EBIT of more than 2 million euros is expected for the fourth quarter. The report for the third quarter of 2008 will be published on 28 October 2008. PSI continues to profit from the ongoing investment trend in the optimisation of core business processes by customers in the energy and heavy industries so that further sales and EBIT increases are expected for 2009. By the end of November, the EBIT planning of 7 million euros for 2009 will be reviewed and, if necessary, increased.
PSI AG develops and integrates individual solutions, on the basis of its own software, for the management of energy networks (electricity, gas, oil, heat, water), cross-company production management (steel, mechanical engineering, automotive, logistics) and infrastructure management for telecommunications, transport and safety. PSI was founded in 1969 and currently employs 1,100 persons in the group.
