PSI integrates leading expert for software-based decision support and process optimisation

Acquisition sees PSI securing the Group’s unique offerings in Production and Energy segments

Berlin, Dortmund, 2 June 2008 – PSI AG announced today that the Group has acquired 100 % of the shares of F/L/S Fuzzy Logik Systeme GmbH (F/L/S), from the existing shareholder and company founder. The company is headquartered in Dortmund, Germany’s leading logistics location. F/L/S, which has 16 employees, specialises in software systems for intelligent decision support and process optimisation. As a leading company in this field, F/L/S’s clients include numerous major enterprises in the automotive and mechanical engineering sectors.

F/L/S’s system solutions ideally complement the PSI portfolio with the Qualicision technology, particularly in production management, logistics and energy portfolio management, adding further key skills to PSI’s unique offerings. The integration of the technology in PSI’s real-time production management systems will substantially improve their ability to respond to production disruptions, thus further enhancing the appeal of PSI solutions in mass production environments. Company founder and F/L/S managing director, Dr. Rudolf Felix, will integrate the Qualicision technology into the PSI Group in unchanged function.

PSI AG develops and integrates individual solutions, on the basis of its own software, for the management of energy networks (electricity, gas, oil, water, heat), cross-company production management (steel, mechanical engineering, automotive, logistics) and infrastructure management for telecommunications, transport and safety. PSI was founded in 1969 and currently employs more than 1,000 persons in the group.
