PSI Presents Solutions for Utilities and Industry at Hanover Fair

New developments and customer projects at the Digital Factory and Energy 2006

Berlin, 16 March 2006 - PSI will be presenting integrated solutions from PSI Production Management at the Digital Factory trade fair (Hall 16, Stand B15) from 24 to 28 April 2006. One focus will be the presentation of customer projects based on the real-time control system PSImcontrol. In addition, new functionalities in the manufacturing execution system PSImes, in the ERP system PSIpenta and the warehouse management system PSIwms for production supply and return will be demonstrated. At the Energy trade fair (Hall 13, Stand B24) the business segment PSI Energy will present new solutions for network and operational management for energy suppliers in the fields of electricity, gas and oil.

 

At Digital Factory PSI will demonstrate the combination of all relevant operational processes and the inter-plant monitoring and management of processes based on PSImcontrol. The new solutions will be presented live on multi-monitor workplaces as well as on team-oriented large-screen displays. The focus is primarily on aspects of utilization such as increased productivity, return on investment (ROI), work organization and provision of information.

 

New functionalities within the capacity planning component such as the integrated preliminary planning for the automobile sector and for mechanical engineering will be demonstrated in PSImes. In addition, PSI will be presenting complete solutions for planning and controlling in mechanical engineering for the rough and detailed planning levels. For the automobile sector the integration of the ERP system PSIpenta will be demonstrated. Furthermore, the new integrated solution for project management and personnel planning for the service industry will be presented.

 

In connection with the ERP standard PSIpenta the initiative "myOpenFactory" will be presented along with new functionalities for serial production. PSI will also be participating in various panel discussions and hold lectures.

 

The PSI segment Energy will present current projects with new solutions for network management based on PSIcontrol and PSIcommand. Special feature will be the integration of orthophotos in the network management as well as the automatic generation of very large network scheme graphics from imported GIS data. In addition a new operator workplace concept and the new PSI process interface will be demonstrated.
