PSI Presents the Cross-site Reproduction of Business Processes at CeMAT

Premier: Interaction of warehouse management, transportation management, logistics control and network optimisation

Berlin, 18 April 2007 – Under the motto of “Globally Linked Intralogistics” the PSI subsidiary PSI Logistics GmbH will be presenting the media-autonomous, cross-site and system-end integration of business processes in distribution, production and transport logistics for the first time at the CeMAT in Hanover (Hall 27, Stand E18) from 27-31 May 2008.

The use of the most modern software technology and the tight meshing of the systems allows for significant cost reductions and increases in efficiency, as well as the consistent reproduction of business processes. The multi-site capability in the warehouse management system PSIwms and transport management system PSItms in particular offer cross-site synergistic effects. Process improvements result from the packaging system optimisation of the case calculation, the cargo space and route optimisation, a delivery date, reverse-oriented determination of the loading date for orders and the needs-based planning of personnel and resources in the integrated resource management.

With the PSIlcontrol logistics control system it is possible to visualise, track and control complex business processes across sites. The combined display of plant and process conditions enables the management of extensive logistics concepts with very limited personnel capacity due tot the fact that deviations from the planned processes are handled quickly by software agents.

PSIglobal is a system platform for strategic and tactical analysis, planning and optimization of logistics networks which controls complex networks for logistics processes efficiently and comprehensively. In this manner it is possible to identify weak spots in the logistics networks and discover opportunities for savings.
