Berlin, 7 June 2005 – STUTE Verkehrs-GmbH has charged PSI with the delivery of a warehouse management system for the Airbus Germany material management center at Laupheim. STUTE was awarded the contract by Airbus for managing the new 10,000 square meter center and two existing warehouses. As in the Airbus Hamburg-Hausbruch site, the PSI Warehouse Management System (WMS) will be employed. The new warehouse is intended to be at full capacity in the first half of 2006.
The new finished parts warehouse is planned to hold 9,000 conventional and 12,000 palette spaces in mobile shelving. In the existing warehouses there are an additional 10,000 high-shelf palette spaces and 1,000 floor palette spaces. STUTE decided in favor of WMS as a result of the range of performance and the successful cooperation with PSI on other projects in the past.
With this order PSI continues the positive trend in the Logistics business and underscores its position as a leading technology software provider in the logistics market.
