PSI receives contract from ZUFALL logistics group for software migration

New version of Warehouse Management System optimises business processes

Berlin, 19 April 2010 – The PSI subsidiary PSI Logistics GmbH has been contracted by the freight forwarder and logistics service provider ZUFALL logistics group to migrate the existing Warehouse Management Systems PSIwms to the new version 1.9.2.

The implementation of the new version will enable PSI’s long-standing client Zufall to exploit previously unused potential for a swifter and more cost-effective integration of new clients. The location administration feature in the new release effectively centralises IT resources, providing a faster overview of process costs. The stock visualisation feature allows Zufall to constantly monitor and analyse warehouse capacities, thus also allowing variances and deviations from projected targets to be identified at an early point. The control system provides a comprehensive view of all merchandise streams in the warehouse, enabling costs and processing times to be reduced and increasing warehouse capacity and efficiency.

The ZUFALL logistics group headquartered in Göttingen, Germany and with 10 branch offices, provides a comprehensive range of freight forwarding and logistics services, including shipping consolidated cargo across Europe, worldwide express services, air freight, sea freight and complete logistics solutions and outsourcing projects.

PSI AG develops and integrates complete solutions, on the basis of its own software products, for the management of energy networks (electricity, gas, oil, heat, water), cross-company production management (metals, automotive, mechanical and plant engineering, logistics) and infrastructure management for telecommunications, transport and safety. PSI was founded in 1969 and employs 1,400 persons in the group.
