Berlin, 18 March 2008 – With effect of 1 March 2008, the PSI subsidiary PSI Logistics GmbH has entrusted Dr.-Ing. Giovanni Prestifilippo with the management of Logistic Networks at the Dortmund site. In his new function, he will be responsible for further development of the PSIglobal system for strategic, tactical and operative management of logistic plants in PSI Logistics.
Dr. Prestifilippo was previously Group Leader in charge of distribution and procurement logistics at the Fraunhofer IML in Dortmund. His extensive experience will enable PSI Logistics to strengthen and expand its activities in the area of transport and logistic networks.
“In order to tap further potentials for our customers in optimising logistics processes, our software products take consideration of the entire logistics network”, is how Wolfgang Albrecht, Managing Director at PSI Logistics GmbH, explains the strategic alignment of the Logistic Networks area. “Competence in the area of designing software products for complex logistical tasks, the market position enjoyed by PSI Logistics as well as the available software technology represent an excellent basis for implementing approaches for optimising logistic networks”, adds Dr. Prestifilippo.
